This vehicle is basically a self mobile winch equipped with a boom and drop-arm which serve as a guiding system to lead the winch rope to the duct mouth.

The drop-arm carries a cable sheave.  This allows cable to be drawn up to the full length of the drop arm, if required.  The boom and the winch have a hydraulic drive taken from the vehicle engine.

A high capacity water pump for emptying manholes is also provided.
