STC TELEPHONE No. 41090

MOULDED MAGNETO WITH HAND MICROTELEPHONE
No. 41090

n2124a.jpg (10645 bytes)This is a Local Battery Magneto telephone.

Whilst there is no indication of manufacture printed on the telephone, the telephone has a diagram numbered N89111 and the components are prefixed with an N.  The handset has no marking on the handle which is also unusual.

ETL diagram N89111 refers to their model N2124.

It looks like this telephone was made by ETL for STC.  ETL also made this model for GEC which was sold as the GEC model TEL/47P/MTU

STC Telephone No. 4109 was a Bakelite 300 style magneto telephone which also looks like it was produced by ETL.

It is highly probable that these telephones were purchased from ETL and sold as STC telephones.

Batteries are required for the transmitter.

The equivalent wall type is the STC Telephone No. 4110.
