BC 2050 (Old Catalogue No. 402)
Framework of polished walnut.

Micro-telephone RE 3000 (Old Cat. No. 525), with a switch in the handle, resting on a fixed cradle, with cord RS 8001 (Old Cat. No. 2142), flexible cable RS 9000 (Old Cat. No. 2084) and terminal block.

Ringer of 40ohms resistance.

Weight: 1.8 kg.

Used by the BPO as their Telephone No. 20.

In both the Ericsson Telephone Catalogues 1905, 1912 & 1923 and the L. M. Ericsson catalogue No. 122 (1930)

Introduced in 1896.

Similar to the model BC2000.

The telephone above was designed for offices, hotels etc.  It has a special “Hygienic easy-to-clean germ
resistant handset”.  At the turn of the last century people were afraid of all kinds of epidemics, that were
common at that time.  The usual trumpet shaped mouthpiece easily collected germs, so many people used
their own removable mouthpiece of their own.

This Hygiene handset was popular in places where different people used the same phone.
