As used by the British Post Office (see Telephone No. 11).

FRAMEWORK, polished walnut, constructed to hold two cells, RK 360 or RK 400. (Old No. 971 or 586).

TRANSMITTER. RC 190, on adjustable arm RC 668, with four cords RS 3500.

RECEIVER. RD 610, suspended on a removable hook-switch, with 2-way cord RS 4002.

RINGER, of 1000ohms resistance, with 2.5 inch gongs.

GENERATOR. RH 2750 2-magnet, which rings satisfactorily through a line resistance of 5000 ohms.

The line terminals are enclosed, and an instruction card frame is fitted. The metal fittings are finished mottled bronze, but this instrument can be supplied with the fittings nickel plated at an extra cost.

A special feature of this instrument is that it can be made very compact for packing purposes. The hook of the switch, transmitter arm, generator handle, and the desk are detached, and packed inside the instrument for shipping.
