BELLSET No. 11


Wall mounted C.B. Bellset with magneto bell, capacitor and induction coil.

Note the lack of bell gongs - the ringer clapper hits the two metal flanges fixed to the Bellset cover (see picture lower left).  Made by Western Electric as their type 131A and later the type 1131A.

Used with Telephone No. 63 which was a basic wall telephone for use in hotel rooms.

Inherited from the National Telephone Company where they used this Bellset on their "Instruments, Hotel, Wall N.T. No. 1" which were later renamed by the GPO as the Telephone No. 63.

Bellset includes (1928):-
1 x Bell, Magneto type, 1000 ohms.
1 x Coil, Induction No. 3 or No. 14.
1 x Condenser, M.C. No. 2.
