Public Coin Box using
Boxes, Coin Collecting No. 14B - No. 14DD and No. 14G

The Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14 superseded the Box, Coin-collecting, No. 13.  This box introduced a new style plug and socket system for the Mechanism and an internal Bellset.  This arrangement meant that the box was effectively self contained with no need for any external equipment.

The Bellset used was dependant on the type of exchange the box was connected to.

Variants for public call offices:-
Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14B - Used until 1935.
Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14C - An alternative to the No. 14D, where burglar alarm contacts are required.
Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14D - Pre-decimal coin use.  Superseded by Boxes C. C. No. 14DD.
Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14DD - Decimal coin use.
Box, Coin-collecting, No. 14G - Complete with glazed front to prevent reject chute blockages.

On CBS systems a Partition D/60967 was fitted in the left had Container.
This was storing the batteries.  The cover has been removed in the picture.
The mechanism looks like a prototype - it has a magneto generator within the case.
