In the early 1980's BT introduced a Telephone No. 8746 coloured brown. These telephones were produced by the BT factories from recovered Telephone No. 746's.

The Telephone No. 8746 range was then called Yeoman to presumably match with the pageant style names that BT was calling most other customer orientated products (i.e. Herald, Ensign, Ambassador etc).

All the Brown Telephone No. 8746's are high impedance and plug and socket ready.
