| Here are pictures of telephones that were
submitted to the GPO for consideration as the 700 type wall telephone.
All pictures are dated 1960 and the final design was the Telephone No. 711
which was released in 1964. The released telephone was was
manufactured by GEC and similar to the telephone pictured below. See also the GEC prototype page
