Wall mounted, dial telephone used on the Automatic exchange systems, 2 party lines with selective metering (Y party). It could also be used as the main telephone on an extension plan comprising of two extensions. The main had two Press Button G's located adjacent to the telephone and these rang trembler bells fitted by the extensions. This telephone differs from most telephones as the switch hook contact set consists of two springs in contact when on hook and when off hook one of the two springs makes contact with the switch hook arm and two other springs.
