This handset has a three position switch in the handle.

Position 1 - Microphone muted - disconnected.
Position 2 - Microphone on - connections made.
Position 3 - Microphone on - connections made and locked.

Succeeded the Telephone No. 86 with loop.

Superseded by Telephone No. 184C.
