This telephone is strongly constructed of cast-iron, suitably designed to exclude moisture and is provided with an outer door which can be padlocked to prevent unauthorized use. The apparatus comprises a powerful hand generator, 1000ohm polarized bell, transmitter, double-pole "Bell" receiver, switch-hook, induction coil and lightning arrester. The apparatus is mounted on the inner door which is hinged to allow access for maintenance purposes and can also be easily removed from the case if necessary.
