MICRO-TELEPHONES, HAND
These hand micro-telephones are fitted with a flexible cord and are suitable for
use on local or central battery systems. Those listed are fitted with an
interchangeable capsule transmitter for local battery working; if they are
required for central battery working, this should he stated when ordering.
These instruments possess the unique feature that all connections with the
flexible cord terminate in the transmitter case, thus avoiding the necessity for
threading the cord through the stem. This greatly reduces the cost of
maintenance. For this reason the instrument has been standardized by the British
Post Office and by a number of Colonial and Foreign administrations.
