RECEIVER, BELL No. 1A


This is a hand held receiver used on telephones connected to Central Battery Systems.  It is covered with a ebonite coating which acted as an insulator.  Originally the Ebonite was black but most are now a discoloured brown or fawn colour.

The coil resistance is 60ohms.

The Earpieces are made of Bakelite.

A Cord, Instrument No. 2/22B, Brown, 33" is used to connect the receiver to the telephone.

Earpiece No. 2.
Diaphragm No. 12.


Mark N.T. 10 includes:-
Earpiece No. 1.
Diaphragm No. 19.
