MITEL SUPERSET INTERFACE MODULES

Mitel SUPERSET Interface Modules

Superset Interface Module 1
The Superset Interface Module 1 (SIM1) is an optional unit for Mitel Superset 4025, Superset 4125, and Superset 4150 digital telephones. A power adapter is required.

The module provides an interface for connection of a PKM 48 whilst sharing a single digital line (single pair of wires) to the SX-2000 system.

Superset Interface Module 2
The Superset Interface Module 2 (SIM2) is an optional unit for Mitel Superset 4025, Superset 4125, and Superset 4150 digital telephones. A power adapter is required.

The module provides an analogue interface for connection of an analogue telephone, fax or modem. The unit provides independent operation to the telephone with its own extension number, allowing simultaneous phone and fax/modem calls, whilst sharing a single digital line (single pair of wires) to the SX-2000 system.

The unit will accommodate a total Ringing Equivalent Number (REN) value of 3.
The provision of SIM2 modules can reduce the need for separate analogue ports within the SX-2000, allowing some expansion without the provision of additional ports.
Any 2-wire analogue device such as telephone, fax, or modem can be connected via the SIM2.

The SIM2 analogue port uses the associated Superset telephone's second B-Channel. The B1 channel handles all Superset voice calls, except Off-Hook Voice Announce.

An Off-Hook Voice Announce and the SIM2 analogue interface module, contend for use of the B2 channel. If there is a simultaneous access requirement, the first application to access the B2 channel will remain connected until call completion.
