GAS-PLUMBING EQUIPMENT
Application
For general use by jointing teams.
General description The equipment, consists of the following
items:-
-
two gas cylinders.
-
a high pressure regulator with two hose outlets.
-
two 30 yard lengths of high pressure hose.
-
two gas torches and tripod stand.
-
a gas ring and stand.
The torches produce a flame very similar to that of the Lamp

'Jubilee' clips are used on all hose connections to minimize
the risk of gas leaking into manholes. The gas is intentionally odorised and
can be detected by the Explosive Gas Detector.
Each cylinder will provide an average jointing team with
sufficient fuel for approximately two weeks.
