Application
For drilling holes 0.5in. to l.75in. diameter in brick, stone or concrete. For use mainly when fitting cable bearers, steps, etc. in manholes, joint boxes and cable chambers.

General description The main part of the drill is the standard CP9 or CP9F drill manufactured by the Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Co. Ltd. For P.O. use the drill is fitted with an off-set handle in lieu of the closed type so that the overall length is reduced to a minimum. The drill is provided with the following tungsten carbide tipped drill rods of the single chisel type:-
2in -3in. long below collar x l.125in. dia.
1in - 12in. long below collar x l.125in. dia.
1in - 12in. long below collar x 11/16in. dia.

Drills of other sizes may be purchased from the manufacturer as and when required. A rubber dust trap is provided for use with the drill rods 3in. in length because this size of drill is frequently used in manholes and other confined situations. The drill and associated equipment (excluding rubber dust trap) are fitted into a metal carrying case.
