Application
Used for lifting drums of cable by means of a crane or hoist.
General description
The device consists of a spreader bar suspended by two shackles terminating in a
ring. The bar has a series of slots along its top edge for positioning two
lifting chains with hooks which are provided with the equipment. Drums of from
2ft. to 4ft. 6in. in diameter can be accommodated and the lifting hooks which
engage the drum spindle hole do not require a separate cable drum spindle. The
safe working load is 2 tons.
