Residence set similar to K7842 but without bell, but with terminals to which can be attached a relay or bell.

Used to call a Butler or Pantry, where the set at that end had a bell.

This instrument is constructed of polished walnut and the finish of all external metal work is oxidised.

Each set requires a 3v battery.

The picture to the left is the early version.

The pictures below show the later version (1932)

Note the press button call switch which is fitted lower left on the case

 

 

The black box on top of the telephone is a battery holder, removed for the picture.
An older battery is still in place, but with these sets the batteries would probably have been externally fitted.
