Australian Post Office
Telephone No. 8MT
Common Battery, Table (Ericsson Type)

Telephone, Magneto, Table

The Ericsson AC400, like the later Telephone No. 12MT, was intended as a replacement for the Skeletal Ericsson.  It proved durable and reasonably popular and purchases continued for some years until it was superseded by Bakelite phones like the Telephone No. 162.

In most cases the Ericsson transfer was replaced with a simple Australian Post Office logo
