Australian Post Office
Telephone No. 809

Table, LD/MF, push button telephone telephone with recall button

Also known as the "Touchtone 12" Mark 5 and this was the final version.

It was a universal phone that could dial DTMF and pulse.

This telephone also had abbreviated dialling.  Nine numbers could be stored under digits *1 to *9.  The last number dialled could be stored, by replacing the handset and then dialling * and then dialling the memory location (1  to 9).

To store a number - handset left on hook - key in number to be stored - press * - select a number the number will be stored under.

Last number redial could be retrieved by dialling *0.

As pressing the * button once activated the telephone facilities, when dialling a number directly to the exchange involved pressing the * or # button twice.

Produced from 1986 to 1988.

Made by STC and AWA.

There are controls for ringer volume, ringer tone on the base along with a slide type switch to change the dialling mode to either MF or LD.

These came in the colours: Fleece White, Golden haze, Sage Green, Cinnamon and Musk.
