TELEPHONE No. 782 & 8782


Telephone No. 782 (early version) Telephone No. 782R (with optional neon handset)

Basic network, low send level, table push button telephone with MF keypad.  Introduced in September 1977, with the 782R and 782RR introduced in February 1979.

The R variant was fitted with an Earth Recall button whilst the RR variant was Timed Break Recall (Register Recall).

A Telephone No. 8782RX was also made and this was for instances where a constant tone level was required, independent of line current.  This phone was also fitted with an Earth Recall Button and converted for the UK plug and socket system.

Telephone No. 8782 was fitted with high impedance bell coils (4000 ohms) and a Cord Connection No. 4/502 3000mm (plug and socket working).
